My Voice and My ePortfolio

In life, it is so important to have a voice, and be able to use it. When I think of my ePortfolio and how it provides a voice for me, I think of how I can express who I am, and what I stand for. When someone is reviewing my ePortfolio they will see a reflection of my ideas, experiences, and beliefs. They will see the things that uniquely represent me as an individual. I’ve chosen my words, and what I wanted to say, I’ve shown my thought process, and how I solve problems that have come up. It’s my space that reveals who I am as a learner, going through my personal journey, and how I have grown over the course of pursuing my Masters in ADL with Lamar University. This will help others, see not only what I’ve learned, but how I’ve learned it too. My professors, and peers, will see that this is more than just a way to post assignments, but is more of a way to network with my learning community, and those that are interested in what I’ve done, and want to do the same. Basically, my voice plays a big role in my ePortfolio. 

I plan to keep up with my ePortfolio as I continue to grow along my journey, especially as a digital leader in my field. I plan to document, and reflect as I go. This will be where I can share my success, and failures. I get to think about how I learned from what I felt didn’t go well. This is a good way to stay on track with my goals, and help me get better along the way. My ePortfolio is a good way to track my progress, and measure the ways that I have grown, and improved over the course of my journey. I think this will keep me self-motivated, and help me push forward, and go the distance. 

Moving forward, I will learn new digital tools, and gain useful strategies that I can apply to what I have learned, and what I will learn later after this program. I will use my ePortfolio to share my ideas, and innovations with those that are curious to make change happen, and become a part of the digital world. My work can be used to inspire people that want to do the same things as I have done. I’ve learned that having a group or learning community that I can collaborate with, and have real discussions with, is a great way to share knowledge with other professionals, and educators. It is a networking tool, and an opportunity to showcase my entire experience and journey. I love that I can use my voice to contribute my thoughts of how digital learning is an excellent addition to improving education for our future. As a future digital leader, I will be able to contribute to conversations in larger ways.

In summary, my ePortfolio will grow, as I continue to grow throughout my journey and career. I have plans to continue adding to it, and using my voice to reflect on what I have done , and what I still want to do in my lifetime. It is a living document that grows through my stages of life as a learner, educator, and digital leader. Having the ability to share this way is empowering. I am so excited to see it grow, and change over time.
