Contribution to Your Learning and the Learning Community
Key Contributions
Reflection on what is working and what I can do better –
In this course, I have consistently shared my ideas, participated in meaningful discussions, and offered support to my peers. I’ve made connections with the concepts that I have learned in class and applied them to being a teacher in the classroom. And, more particularly, I am using a blended flex model with my 3rd grade students to support my innovation plan.
This is working well, and allows me to continue to participate, and be willing to explore new digital tools that enhance learning for my students. Yet, I could improve on applying more complex ideas to what I’ve learned. I am still growing and learning in this learning community, and continue to face my challenges on a daily basis.
Contributed to, helped build, and provided feedback to my core collaboration group –
I helped build collaboration and open communication on our project where we had to give and receive feedback/feedforward to our publication rough draft. I provided my peers with constructive feedback so that it would enhance their learning goals. I believe that we worked together to achieve meaningful outcomes in our learning community.
Revised all assignments and reflected on revisions in this contribution to a learning activity –
I made sure to carefully revise all of my assignments to align with my learning goals in this course. This allowed me to better understand what I learned and gave me a way to build a stronger learning environment to support my work. I was able to encourage others through feedback, and reflected on my own contributions to this learning community which supports a growth mindset, and self-improvement.
Completed ALL of the course readings, videos, & supporting resources –
I completed all of the course readings, videos, and supporting resources to stay dedicated to the course requirements, and my own learning journey. I gained insight and understanding that I was able to share with my peers and professor. I collaborated with others as a team to support an informed learning community.
Met the various course activity deadlines indicated in the calendar –
I consistently followed the course activity deadlines indicated in the calendar in a timely manner to show my active participation, as well as contributed to all discussions. I stayed on track with my deadlines, engaged with my peers, and provided feedback. All of this was my way of supporting a productive learning community.
Accelerated ADL option reflection –
Participating in this ADL Master’s Program has helped me gain skills that I did not necessarily have before, such as managing my time, staying focused in my learning, and prioritizing my work. Even though this has been fast paced, and challenging to juggle, I have contributed to meaningful discussions, provided thoughtful feedback, and supported my learning community.
Supporting Contributions
Took leadership responsibility in my base group and the course –
I took leadership in my base group when I came up with a rubric that we could use to collect feedback on our publication rough draft from our peer collaboration group. This ensured that we stayed on track with our learning goals, assignment requirements, and the course content. Overall, our group was able to be positive, worked productively, and stayed successful.
Contributed to my learning and the learning of my colleagues by participating in ALL activities –
I actively participated in all course activities through discussions, collaboration, and feedback. I also shared my ideas, work experiences, and personal perspectives on the different discussions that we had throughout the course. This not only added to my growth, but the understanding for others as well.
Active contributions in the various course forums –
I consistently added to the course forum, and believe that this not only benefited me, but it also helped my colleagues with diverse ideas and perspectives. In essence, the experience has been meaningful, and constructive. And, it shows that collaboration is really crucial in order to be successful in any environment.
You posted in a timely fashion so others can respond to your posting –
I made sure to post in a timely manner, so that my peers can read my response and reply in a timely manner. I also replied to their responses within the appropriate timeframe. This kept the learning environment active and engaging.
Your postings reflect breadth and depth of thinking with research to support your thinking and are cited using APA –
My postings included a response that consisted of my own understanding, and the research to support it. I also made sure to cite my references using APA format which is contributing to the academic rigor of the learning community.
Additional postings were made that did not require research but were rather to contribute to the learning –
Not only did I have research based responses, but I gave ideas, and feedback to support my peers and engagement in our learning community.
