Before this program, I never really knew anything about creating an ePortfolio, much less owning my own website for professional purposes. I like that I get to have a space that showcases or presents my learning journey. I get to document all the things that I am doing, and reflect on what I have learned throughout this process. I get to make it personal, and unique to highlight the things that I have done, and my special accomplishments, or achievements. Owning this process makes me excited to have my work in a central location that shows my growth over time.
I am in charge of my ePortfolio, and have full access and control of what I can add or include on it. Having this will allow me to keep track of everything over time, such as my progress, and how I have improved. It keeps me motivated and engaged in what I learn, and how I can keep going. I can set new goals, and recognize my achievements. I feel proud of my accomplishments.
Here, you will find my collection of work, and see my educational story that reflects on learning and growth. I get to see my skills develop, and share my progress and journey with others that are interested in the same things. This is a solid, and tangible way to share what I have done along the way. Owning my very own ePortfolio has helped me feel engaged, and empowered. My learning journey has been enjoyable, and I feel like I get to blog, or journal, as I go.
It is so important for me to share my work with my colleagues, mentors, family, and friends. I really value their feedback because it helps me improve my work, and allows me to see things from different perspectives, or angles that I may have never thought of. I like to consider their opinions, and constructive feedback that guides me to make it better.
When I get this information from them, then I can use it to improve, or make things differently. I can think of other ways to present my work. I can make adjustments, or think of various ways to enhance my ePortfolio. Their perspectives are usually different from my own, and can add growth to my work, or help me see the strengths that I tend to miss.
Mixing my ideas, and some of their new ideas into my ePortfolio allows a reflective representation of my educational path. Collaboration with others, and listening to what is suggested gives me the opportunity to fine-tune or polish my presentation to be fully effective with the intended purpose. Owning my ePortfolio is a personal, reflective presentation that I can use as a networking tool for future opportunities.
